Widex Senso Diva website again awarded top ratings | The Danish hearing aid producer Widex has been merited with the prestigious World Wide Web Health Award, Spring 2002. The Senso Diva website already rewarded for its communicative design earlier this year, was recognised in the category of best advertising/marketing material.
The award granted by the American Health Information Resource Center is to boost the quality of health-related information on the Internet.
As part of an international health programme, the World Wide Web Health Award recognises the best health-related websites for consumers and professionals. The aim of the programme is to provide a "seal of quality" for electronic health information.
‘There is no doubt that awards like this are of great benefit to the people seeking information on the Internet. This award will help create more awareness about the need for quality and depth of information communicated on the Internet’, explains Annemarie Jørvad, Web Editor from Widex. ‘Even more so, I am glad to see that structure and design are recognised of equal importance in the evaluation criteria.
Credible and instructive information is indispensable, but it is the overall design which indirectly motivates the user to carry on gathering information on these health issues’, states Jørvad.
