The TelCom transmitter

The TelCom transmitter is a modern and effective alternative to fixed loop systems. Using TelCom makes it easier to converse on the telephone and hear the sound from the TV, computer or other audio equipment.

TelCom has an operating range of up to 15 metres – even transmitting through walls.

TelCom is for stationary use. However, it is so compact that you can take it with you to another location, for example on holiday.

How does TelCom work?

When connected to the TV, telephone or other audio equipment, TelCom transmits the sound directly to the MicroLink receiver attached to the hearing aid. This means that you can listen to the TV and still hear when the telephone rings.

Situations where TelCom can be used

When talking on the telephone or watching TV

Connect the TelCom to the TV and telephone.

You can now listen to the sounds from the television and still hear if the telephone rings.

When you pick up the telephone receiver, the TelCom automatically interrupts the sound from the television. You hear the conversation transmitted to your hearing aid clearly and you don’t have to hold the telephone receiver in your hand.

When the conversation is over and you replace the receiver, you will again hear the sounds from the television.

If the telephone call is not for the hearing aid user, the person using the telephone just has to press the button at the top of the TelCom. A red light indicates that the conversation is not being transmitted via the hearing aid.

When using a computer

The TelCom transmitter can be connected to a computer and does not necessarily have to be connected to the telephone.

The sound will be sent directly to the hearing aid. This is especially convenient when a hearing impaired child likes to use the computer for noisy games.

At the office

The TelCom transmitter can be connected to your office telephone and does not necessarily have to be connected to an audio source.

The ringing signal and the telephone conversation are sent directly to your hearing aid.

This means you don’t need to hold the telephone receiver up to your ear. You only need to speak in the direction of the microphone in the telephone handset and can leave it lying on the desk.

You are then free to perform other tasks; like using a computer or taking notes.
