The HandyMic transmitter is a small cordless microphone with a built-in FM transmitter. When placed close to the person speaking, it transmits the speaker’s voice directly and wirelessly to the MicroLink receiver on the hearing aid. This means that the distance between the speaker and listener in effect corresponds to the distance between the speaker’s mouth and the HandyMic.
In addition to the standard microphone mode, two directional modes can be selected to suppress surrounding noise in difficult listening situations.
HandyMic is particularly suited to personal dialogue in noisy surroundings and in meetings, but is also useful in educational environments.

Situations where the HandyMic transmitter can be used

At work
Place the HandyMic on the conference table or on a cord around the neck of the person speaking. The HandyMic makes it easier to take active part in meetings. |

At school
You can give the HandyMic to the teacher at lectures or similar situations, so as to get the full educational benefit. |

In your spare time
If you play sports or engage in other activities that compel you to listen from a distance, you can give the HandyMic to the coach or the director. |

At home
HandyMic can be connected to the TV or radio so that your family can enjoy TV or radio programmes at normal volume. |

Three different directional modes
The microphone of the HandyMic can be set to three different directional modes depending on your listening situation. |

Omnidirectional mode
Is used when the sounds you want to hear come from different directions. This could be at a conference or dinner table, in a work group or similar situations. |

Directional mode
Is used in noisy environments. In this mode, which is suitable for conversations between 2-3 people, background noise is effectively reduced. |

Superdirectional mode
Is used in very noisy surroundings where you want to listen to one person at a time. | |
